PhD Candidate
Bren School of Environmental Science & Management
University of California, Santa Barbara

Welcome!

I am a PhD candidate in Environmental Economics at the Bren School of Environmental Science & Management at the University of California, Santa Barbara. I am on the 2026–2027 job market and expect to complete my PhD in June 2027.

I study how regulators should design environmental and resource policy instruments (taxes, quotas, and bundles of them) when information about the underlying system is limited and outcomes are uncertain, with applications to renewable and non-renewable resources. My research asks how relatively coarse instruments can still improve environmental and economic outcomes under uncertainty.

Research Themes

Environmental and Resource Economics

My work examines extraction, and resource management under uncertainty.

Environmental policy under limited information

I study how information constraints shape the choice between taxes, quotas, and broader policy bundles.

Applied Microeconomics Theory

I rely on dynamic economic models to understand regulation when ecosystems are complex and policy must remain feasible in practice.
