ESM 279: Financial Management and Environmental Accounting

Teaching Assistant, Spring 2026 This course reviews the key concepts and tools of corporate financial management and reporting and environmental accounting.

As a teaching assistant, I helped design assignments that asked students to search for real data and use the tools in R, Excel or any software of their preference. I gave lecture sharing my experience in the stock market.

ESM 245: Cost-Benefit Analysis and Non-market Valuation

Teaching Assistant, Fall 2023, Fall 2024, Fall 2025

This course examines the economic theory of environmental policy, with particular emphasis on cost-benefit analysis and methods for valuing non-market environmental goods. Topics include ecosystem protection, pollution control, and applied tools for environmental decision-making.

As a teaching assistant, I helped design assignments that asked students to replicate and adapt peer-reviewed papers using R. I also advised students on their term projects, many of which were connected to their graduate group projects.

ESM 204: Economics of Environmental Management

Teaching Assistant, Spring 2024, Winter 2025, Winter 2026

This course provides a foundation in environmental economics, focusing on the causes of environmental problems and the economic tools available to address them. It covers topics such as externalities, climate change, renewable resource management, and the distributional consequences of environmental harms and policy responses.

As a teaching assistant, I helped redesign the course each quarter to fit the backgrounds and professional goals of students from diverse fields. I also contributed to assignments that balanced economic theory, quantitative reasoning, and coding.
